RiteMED - Paracetamol 250 mg/5 ml Syrup is used for the treatment of minor febrile conditions, including fever, headache, muscular aches, and pain. Here are the details:
- Each 5 mL (one teaspoonful) of the syrup contains 250 mg of Paracetamol.
- Dosage instructions:
- Children 1 to 5 years old: Take 5 mL to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoons) 3 to 4 times a day.
- Children 6 to 12 years old: Take 10 mL to 20 mL (2 to 4 teaspoons) 3 to 4 times a day, or as prescribed by a physician.
Please note the following:
- Contraindications: Avoid use in cases of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, long-term use in patients with anemia or cardiac, pulmonary, renal, or hepatic disease, and ulceration or inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract.
- Special Precautions: Consider liver disease, kidney impairment, alcohol dependence, and concomitant use with warfarin or other drugs affecting the liver.
- Adverse Reactions: Skin reactions (such as urticaria) are rare.
- Drug Interactions: May interact with alcohol, chloramphenicol, aspirin, phenobarbital, liver enzyme inducers, and hepatotoxic agents1.
